What we collect, why we process it, how long we keep it, and the rights you hold. Written to be read — no fine-print gymnastics.

Xiqiao (西桥) runs an outbound lead-generation and outbound-automation service: we find, rank and engage Western decision-makers for Chinese manufacturers and SaaS. This policy explains what personal data we touch when you use our website or our services. 'We', 'us' and 'our' mean the Xiqiao team operating westqiao.com.
01 What we process
Contact-form submissions. When you fill in a form on this site or email us, we receive your name, email address, company and the message you send.
Client business data. When we run campaigns for a client, we process prospect records on their behalf: professional contacts (name, job title, work email, company), outreach activity (what was sent, opened, replied to), and outcomes (meetings booked). This data belongs to the campaign — we process it only within an active client engagement.
We do not intentionally collect special-category data (health, ethnicity, political opinions), and our services are not directed at children.
02 Why we process it
Every type of processing has a lawful basis under the GDPR and the UK GDPR. For the main ones:
Contact form — consent
- We process your submissions with your consent, which you give when you contact us. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us.
B2B outreach — legitimate interest
- We contact business contacts at their work addresses about professional matters. This is a legitimate, expected business activity, balanced against recipients’ expectations under Article 6(1)(f) and Recital 47 of the GDPR. Every message carries a working one-click unsubscribe link and a clear sender identity.
Retainers — contract
- When we provide a paid service, we process only the data needed to deliver it. This is processing necessary for the performance of a contract under Article 6(1)(b).
Legal obligations
- We also keep records where required by anti-spam (CAN-SPAM) and e-privacy rules, or to defend legal claims.
03 How long we keep it, and how erasure works
Contact-form details are kept until you ask us to delete them or it is clear the enquiry is closed. Prospect data from a campaign is kept only as long as the engagement needs it, and we remove it from active systems within 30 days of a retainer ending. Anything that must be kept longer for legal or anti-spam reasons is minimised to what is strictly required.
To ask us to erase, correct or export data, email sales@westqiao.com with a clear description of the records involved. We respond within one month — usually far sooner — and we never charge for a lawful request. You can also use the built-in unsubscribe link on any campaign email to stop receiving messages immediately.
04 Where data lives, and the China note
Our platform is hosted on infrastructure in Singapore. When you engage us from mainland China, your business data is transferred out of mainland China for processing, and your agreement notes this. We rely on your informed consent to do so, and we do not pass prospect data to third parties for their separate use.
05 Cookies
Our website sets a small number of cookies — strictly necessary ones for the site to work, and optional analytics only if you opt in. We do not currently place third-party advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the details.
06 Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access — a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data (the right to be forgotten).
- Restriction — pause processing while a question is resolved.
- Portability — receive the data you gave us in a machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
